See the music

This is an fascinating way to listen to music.
I wish this guy had the whole symphony. Alas, he lacks the fourth movement. Listen to the whole piece sometime. It is quite amazing.

New music

I recently acquired a $10 iTunes gift card. This is nice. I bought one album, Mozart's Requiem, performed by Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, led by the incomparable Sir Neville Mariner. Here is a clip from the film Amadeus, (a great film--you should watch it) featuring some of the music--it gives me chills.

That album cost only $8, so I had $2 to go. I purchased what may very well be the greatest pop song ever (at least according to Brian Wilson, who knows a thing or two). The opening drum beats are amazing.

I had $.77 left (after tax). So I bought a $.69 song because I could buy no other.

The Fallon-Colbert Project

So it began.

The Rebecca Black video (you are a brave soul if you can watch the whole thing).
.
And so it culminates.

And just for kicks, the "original" Conan version.

Wrong prescription.

For the past many days, Colette has been dealing with lower GI issues resulting in a very sore bottom.  I tried playing "Sunshine of Your Love" continuously to her.  Surprisingly, it did no good.

Fell in love with a girl

Today in my bride's birthday. I dedicate this song to her:

This one better reflects my love for her:

Happy Birthday my sweet, sweet wife. I love you.

Update:
To borrow from Preston Sturges, a thousand poets dreamed a thousand years, and Jenni was born.

Christmas Naivety Scenes

Great singer/songwriter with a good song, but silly message

Possibly the strangest thing David Bowie has ever done

A slightly less odd duet

Stop Making Sense

I am becoming a Talking Heads fan. They were a rock group in the early 80's. They were considered "New Wave", whatever that means. They were very talented and creative. Stop Making Sense is a concert film. It is very good. The lead singer David Byrne, who also directed the concert, is a very unique performer. There is some Fred Astaire in his dancing. Not for everyone, but a movie if you like artsy, unique musical experiences.
Here is a clip of the beginning of the concert. You get a taste for what Byrne is like in this song.

Here is the song "Girlfriend is Better" with Byrne is the famous big suit.

Let it go

Do you remember the viral video from a few years back of the bank OK Go dancing to their song on the treadmills (if not, you can see it here)? They have recently produced a new video to one of their new songs. You can watch it here (embedding is disabled). I like it. The song is catchy, and the video is cleverly choreographed. It like the one-take idea. I was pretty impressed.
Then I saw this video.

Wow. That is a cool, one-take video.
