The road not to be taken

Some believers attempt to live under the law.  Others use their liberty as license.  Both fail to understand the Grace of God and their position as a believer.  Each one has the life of Christ in them, but choose to walk in the flesh.

Grace

Grace is not a bank account from which we can withdraw funds whenever we incur debt.  Grace means that every debt we have ever incurred and will ever incur has already been paid in full (Romans 5, 1 John 2:2-1).  All that is left for us is to simply believe.
There is no room for guilt or regret in the life under Grace (Romans 8).

Mistakes

There are two mistakes in particular that many believers make.  This can lead to a frustrating walk.  The first is expecting God to do that which He has never promised He would do.  The second is like unto it--seeking to do that which God has already done for him.  Each these involve in a lack of faith, or a lack of understanding of the Word, or both.  Either way, they are outside the walk of Grace God has prepared for us.
